Unspoiled Croatian beaches look just as nature intended – sea, sky and unchanged smooth white pebbles.

Kamenjak
On the southern part of Istria, beyond the Roman wonders of Pula, the unspoiled beach of Kamenjak awaits. Dozens of rows of beaches are adorned with pieters and small coves behind stone cliffs, presenting incredible jumping-off points. Though unspoiled, it’s still a beach with amenities, and there’s a wonderful Safari Bar on the southwest cape.

Badia
Badija is a tiny island just off the coast of Korcula that has remained uninhabited since a community of Bosnian monks was destroyed here in the 50s. There are regular water cabs from Korcula harbor to Badija. Surrounded by pine trees, the pebble beach is an ideal place to relax.

Palmijana
This island resort is the merit of botanist professor Eugen Menegelo, who in the early 1900s created a unique botanical garden on the eastern side of St. Klement Island, the largest island in the Paklinski archipelago. Tropical plants still abound on the unprotected beaches and hidden bays that make up the coastline. Walking around the island you can smell the scent of wild rosemary and aloe.

Betina spilja
This amazing beach is located between two luxury hotels, but far away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Betina spilja is a cave, with a stunning white beach. Those staying at the Grand Villa Argentina hotel and Villa Sheherezade do not have access to the beach. Anyone who wants to visit it needs to make arrangements with a boat owner in Dubrovnik’s old harbor. Don’t forget water and food, as there are no facilities on the beach.

Saplunara
Most of the island of Mljet, where this beach is located, is a national park, while the rest is a dense forest with only one road. This beach will appeal to those looking for sandy or nudist beaches. It is rarely crowded due to its location.

Kandarola
Kandarola beach has the reputation of being the most famous beach in Croatia. It was here in 1936 that Wallis Simpson and the monarch Edward VIII swam naked in the clear waters. Which was the beginning of the nudism trend. It is easily accessible by water cab, but non-residents must pay a small nominal fee.

Stiniva
Despite the title of Best European Beach 2016, this place is quite deserted. The only way to get here is via a single path through the wilderness or by your own boat. Surrounded on both sides by cliffs, Stiniva never ceases to amaze with the rare hues of the sea water.
